Were exhibited at an event in Herefordshire. Including a blue crepe dress with long sleeves and polychrome ribbon decoration in the original box "M.H. Rackstraw Islington", ivory brush and comb, embroidered winter nightdress, broderie anglaise long sleeved cotton nightgown `Rose Brand` black and cream striped blouse, waist petticoats, drawers, other nightdresses "The London Glove Company" gloves in original packaging. The soldier returned to his own country at the end of the First World War and never returned to marry his fiance

Provenance: both dresses worn by the late Lady Hardinge of Penshurst. Lady Hardinge was a close friend of the late Queen Mother and her husband was King George V`s Private Secretary

Forrest, D.S.O. 3rd Welsh Regt. with an illuminated address by the inhabitants of Prieska, Cape Colony in appreciation of his valuable services as Commandant of the District, Sept. 1900 - Nov. 1901`, the tusk incised initials `T.J`, each supported by three downswept tusks united by a ring stretcher, the white metal mounts marked with two stars, height approx 59.5cm.
A George III Irish silver coffee pot of large proportions, the fluted oval body with bright cut engraved band of oval medallions and meandering festoons, flanked by a scroll spout and ebonized handle, the domed hinge lid with green stained ivory pineapple finial, on an oval pedestal foot, Dublin 1801 by Gustavus Byrne, height approx 34cm (handle repaired).
