Viner, Sheffield, 1934/36/37, with mother-of-pearl finials; an ivory cuticle depressor wwith unmarked silver handle applied on both sides with clover, piglet, horseshoe and toadstool; two Indian oval white metal pill boxes; and a pair of late Victorian coffee spoons by Gibson & Langman, London, 1897, with cherub mask terminals (9). Wear/distortion to bowls of 2 spoons, one pickle fork has replacement finial, handle of cuticle depressor is split along sides, dings to bases of 2 pill boxes.
Five mother-of-pearl handled folding fruit knives with silver blades, all Sheffield, 1870, 1926, 1927 and 1931 except one Birmingham, 1861; also a small ivory-handled fruit knife with fixed blade inscribed "H. Payne Ellis", maker's mark IT, king's head and lion passant, (6). The 1870 example has a crack to either side of spirally fluted handle. Ivory-handled knife has blob of solder on blade just below ferrule but this does not affect marks.
A George IV compressed circular silver teapot by Hyam Hyams, London, 1822, sides chased with flowers around a vacant cartouche on either side, acanthus-capped handle with ivory insulators, gadroon rim and reclining Mandarin finial, on leaf, rose and lion paw feet, 26 cm. long, wt. 662 gm. Small dings to cartouches which are erased and possibly patched but if so the patches appear to have been replated or covered up.
