A George III silver teapot, probably Thomas Austin, London 1818, the oval teapot of compressed form decorated with a shell cast and gadrooned rim, hinged cover with floral knop and handle with acanthus leaf cast thumbpiece, raised on four bun feet, 30cm long, 20ozt CONDITION REPORT: Hallmarks rubbed and but party legible. Front right bun foot has a split to the underside. Interior appears clean. Cast detailing still appears in good condition. Ivory insulators with expected staining and splits. General surface scratches to the exterior. Cover sides are slightly lifted from the rim when closed. Overall appearance is good.
