A Royal Worcester part dessert service model number 1426, date codes for 1893 and 1894, printed and painted with wild flowers and insects on a blush ivory ground, within scrolling gilt borders and with reticulated edges, printed monogram for Edward Raby to four comports and ten plates, to include; two oval comports, 14cm long, 7cm high, two pedestal comports, (one at fault) 22cm wide, 11cm high, two short comports, (one at fault) 22cm wide, 5.5cm high, and eleven plates, 21cm wide, also a similarly decorated vase, shape number 1021, date mark for 1898, 10.5cm high and another of bulbous reeded form on three short feet, factory mark smudged, 7.5cm high (19)
An early 20th century mid shipman's chest, circa 1907-11 by Gieve, Mathews and Seagrove Ltd the softwood chest with iron strengthening bands and corner protectors with central brass plaque to the lid engraved 'J.F.C. Ogle. R. N' opening to reveal a fitted interior with dressing mirror to the underside of the lid, various compartments and trays below, ivory label for 'Gieve, Mathews and Seagrove Ltd', the lock escutcheon also bearing the company's name, 107cm wide, 69cm high, 61cm deep NOTE; The National Maritime Museum lists John F C Ogle as a midshipman from 19th August 1914 and served during the War on the battleship HMS Albemarle, Hindustan and Dominion and is last noted in the navy list September 1917 after which he was invalided from the service
