dating: 1944 provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Ivory pommel of spherical shape, hold by a ring-nut shaped as a truncated cone made of copper-colored metal and featuring the crowned monogram 'WSC' (Winston Spencer Churchill) . Wooden haft with missing parts at the bottom. Ring-nut marked with 'FRANZI LONDON'. Provenance: the owner's heirs. The stick was given by Churchill to the owner during his journey in Italy in 1944, when he visited Misa and Metauro. During the same occasion, the then English Prime Minister dedicated to his guest the long inscription of the nearby lot. height 88 cm.
dating: Second half of the 19th Century provenance: German Empire, Slightly curved blade with jelman, made of fine damask, marked with 'Weihe' and featuring gold decorations at the first part of the third side; featuring a vessel and the writing 'Eisenhauer Aecht Damast' on the other side, gilt tang marked with the manufacturer 'EWALD CLEFF SOLINGEN', featuring the same mark at the back, among gilded leaved. Typical, brass hilt with remains of gilding and anchor under Imperial crown among high-relief spirals, pommel shaped as a lion's head with mane along the chape and red-glass eyes. Ivory grip, sculpted with spirals and featuring metallic wire binding. Leather scabbard with engraved, brass mounts, the chape marked 'Weihe' in italics. Two suspension rings. Scarce. length 93 cm.

Brass hilt, the valve pierced with an anchor with no crown and floral motifs. Pommel shaped as an eagle's head. Ivory grip, decorated with spirals (cracks) and metallic wire binding. Leather scabbard with brass hilts embossed with anchors and floral motifs. Two suspension rings. length 83 cm.

Brass hilt with knuckle guard featuring the tiara on high-relief keys and anchor, the pommel shaped as a lion's head with long, faceted cap. Ivory grip sculpted with spirals and metallic wire binding. Missing scabbard. Very scarce. length 93 cm.
dating: circa 1900 provenance: England - India, Flat, single-and-false-edged blade, engraved with royal monogram under crown (VR), sabre crossed with a cannon and floral motifs, marked with the manufacturer 'RANKEN & C.o CALCUTTA' at the base, tang. Oriental-style hilt with cross-shaped, gilt-brass quillon decorated with a sabre and a cannon among floral motifs. Ivory grip scales with flower-shape rivets and brass grip-strap. Complete with sword knot and iron scabbard. length 94 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Curved, single-edged blade featuring on the right side a long, damascened inscription with silver-inlaid in Arabic letters, and a round mark deeply marked. Metal hilts with remains of gilding. Various red cabochons at the central band. A part is missing and another is repaired. Walrus-ivory grip scales (one is cracked). Wooden scabbard with leather remains and with metal mounts, featuring an old label with inscription. length 76 cm.

Silver-coloured metal hilt. The central band of the grip with long, red cabochon shaped as a drop. Ivory grip scales. Wooden scabbard (non perfectly fitting), leather-covered sewn with copper thread. Silver-coloured metal chape and cap decorated with racemes in relief. length 70,6 cm.

(the remaining part not clearly legible) at the back. Beautiful, steel hilt finely carved on a gilded background, shell-guard with royal monogram 'FR' under crown with cartouche and flowers, 'S'-shaped quillons decorated with floral motifs in bas-relief. Magnificent ivory grip, majestically carved in the round in the style of Hans Peter Oeri with bear, wild boar and a deer twisted with bloodhunds. Wooden scabbard with dark-green, leather covering (small damages at the border) featuring steel mounts and cap carved and engraved with deer in cartouche on a gilded background, also provided with a carved and gilded hook, decorated with a trophy on gilded background at the back. Chape decorated with floral motifs, partially gilded on both sides. Probably made by Frantz Bourgeois, Real Manifattura of Naples. This beautiful hunting hanger belonged to King Ferdinando IV of Naples, it probably was a gift for his crowning. The king really appreciated those richly carved amrs, and a fine example is a pair of important flintlock pistols given to the young king around 1768 and kept at the Metropolitan Museum in New York with inventory number 26.259.5.6. length 78 cm.
