Late 19th century Chinese ivory card case, deeply carved with figures in a wooded pavilion landscape, 8.5cm x 4.5cm CONDITION REPORT: The colour is fairly even across the whole case, but very very slightly yellowed to the centre at the joint with the lid. Top - Right hand edge has a crack running from the bottom left joint and curving from the bottom left joint and curving out to the side just before the top. There is an age crack running from the bottom left hand side for 2cm at the corner joint. Otherwise the carving appears to be in good condition but the faces are slightly rubbed.

19th century Chinese ivory box the sliding lid deeply carved with fruit and flowers, together with three other brooches / pendants, the box 6.5cm x 4cm (4) CONDITION REPORT: Circular brooch has a piece out and re-glued at one end of the pin. Rose brooch has a few small nibbles to the petals. Wheatsheaf pendant appears in good condition. The box base is loose, one or two tiny nibbles.
Chinese late 19th century ivory figure of Shou Lao holding a child with a peach, a string of Buddhists beads in the left hand, 19cm CONDITION REPORT: Rather dirty and slightly dry, some long age cracks to reverse other wise good original condition. Quite flat but carved to reverse and traces of old glue to the base
Pair of Chinese early 20th century ivory carvings finely carved with Shou Lao holding a lotus leaf above her head with flower branches, a child holding peaches seated at her side, the second carving of a man holding a lotus and flower branch over his head, a child kneeling beside him holding a box of flowers, each with carved and pierced wooden stands within fitted boxes, 13cm and 11.5cm. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Both figures are in their original boxes with original stands which are in good condition. The boxes are rather dirty to the interior and worn commensurate with age, they have brass carring handles and the exterior is in generally good condition.Female seated figure - generally good condition, slightly dirty. Slight small nick off the lily pad at the back of the carvingMale figure - Generally good condition but there is a piece missing from the back of the lily pad above his head.Appear to be elephant ivory.
A rare pair of Victorian ivory carriage permit plaques, the oval tickets each bearing engraved Royal cypher to reverse, one in red and one in plaque, the fronts bearing inscription, “HORSE GUARDS THE RIGHT HON. ROBERT LOWE’S CARRIAGE”, in red, the other, “CONSTITUTION HILL GATE THE RIGHT HON. ROBERT LOWE’S CARRIAGE”, each 8.6cm wide. Note: Robert Lowe (1811-1892) was Chancellor of the Exchequer under Gladstone from 1865-1873 and was appointed First Viscount in 1880
