CHINESE CARD CASE. A 19th century Chinese ivory card case, intricately carved in high relief. 10.5 x 6.5cm. CONDITION REPORTS: The case is in generally good condition throughout, however, there are some very minor fine chips in places which are noticeable using a loupe. On one side of the case, along the bottom edge, there is a chip to one of the leaves . On the opposite side of the case, there is a small chip on the top of the carved edge. The case is 19th century.
CHINESE CLAM SHELL CARVING ETC. A Chinese ivory clam shell carving, the interior showing figures beneath a tree. The underside signed with two character mark (chip to back of shell), 5 x 6cm & a 19th century ivory veneered card case, 9 x 5cm. CONDITION REPORTS: The clam shell has a large chip towards the back edge on the left hand side and also at the centre of the carving near the front, there is damage to what appears to be a table? There is splitting throughout and warping to one of the panels. There are further chips to the corners on the lid. There is also a small piece of ivory missing on the underside of the lid.
IVORY FAN. A 19th century ivory fan, the leaf hand painted with Lily of the Valley and Forget-Me-Nots. (ribbon needs repair) Length 21cm. With original box. CONDITION REPORTS: There are two guard sticks. Then there are a group of five attached sticks, then a group of four more attached together, then a pair attached, and finally a group of three attached together. So, 14 sticks all told between the guard sticks. The painted vignette is continuous, with no gaps, so I don't believe that any sticks are missing. I have also closed the fan, and can report that there is absolutely no play in the rivet.
ART DECO CLIP ETC. An Art Deco lucite dress clip & pendant & a celluloid scarf ring. Pendant length 6.5cm. CONDITION REPORTS: The Art Deco lucite clip is in good condition with a tight clip. The scarf ring is in good, original condition. The pendant drop (6cm long) is moulded with llamas? and imitating ivory. It is in good condition, although the split ring loop may not be original.
IVORY. A 19th century well carved ivory brooch. 7.5 x 5cm, irregular. CONDITION REPORTS: This brooch is two sections of ivory - a lower plain piece and an upper carved piece.
