19th Century Cantonese lacquered work box having typical gilded decoration depicting figures and foliage on a black ground, the hinged cover opening to reveal a fitted interior with various carved ivory requisites, drawer below opening to reveal a hinged cover and compartments, the whole standing on carved giltwood dragon design supports, 38cm wide There is a split running along the back area of the cover which has flake lacquer to either side of it, one foot is missing both its `wings` gilding as can be seen in the images is a little worn in places, when opened there are fairly severe splits to the lacquer on the underside of the cover but other than this the interior is fairly sound with crisp gilding, all requisites that are present are in fair to good condition (please see images) - General condition consistent with age **
Pair of 19th Century German carved ivory goblets, each slender bowl decorated in high relief with deer in a landscape, knopped stem and standing on a shaped circular foot, 20.5cm high One cup has a tilt due to a bend in the upper section of the stem, the decoration in the middle of the stem has a missing area to the bottom approx. 10mm and to the top approx. 12mm. One ear is completely missing to one of the deer and the other two stags have areas missing to their antlers. The other cup has some very minor loss to the antlers - General condition consistent with age **
