JOE DESCOMPS (1869-1950) An Art Deco ivory figure "REGAL" Carved as a Middle Eastern princess, standing with one hand on her hip wearing a long bead necklace and a split pleated skirt, the reverse signed, standing on an onyx stepped cylindrical plinth base. 22 cm high. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, some staining, possibly lacking a metal bracelet to hand attached to hip, slight damage, possibly a small burn blemish to proud thumb, slightly detached from plinth base, some glue residue, general wear.

Three 19th Century Chinese ivory carved items, including a shaped card case depicting an elder seated below a prunus tree, the reverse with elder and student, a small circular box and cover with chrysanthemum carved base, an oval brooch in 9 ct gold frame, together with a 19th Century Indian carved ivory elephant with seated maharaja and an Eastern European ivory carved brooch of orthodox churchThere is damage to each of the items in this lot.One of the figure in the brooch is missing its head, the elephant rider is missing the canopy, the card case is cracked and has holes where the carving has made it thin. The pill box has cracks to the lid and body, and the Russian brooch is missing the tips of two of the church minarets.
