An ivory silk-pique silk evening gown with jewelled collar, late 40s-early 50s, with black on ivory Jeanne Lanvin couture label, bias cut with mermaid hem, button fronted, deep jewelled collar, bust 86cm, 34in, waist 66cm, 26in CONDITION REPORT: Bodice seams have been let out, top two bodice buttons are missing. Brown spot stains front skirt closure. Slight loss to sequined and beaded collar. Perspiration stains at underarms. Rear trained hem has been let down approx. 2 cm. Soiled hem edge. Slight soiling over sat. Soiled inside would benefit from cleaning.
A Lucien Lelong couture pale green silk gown and matching jacket, mid 1930s, brown on ivory rectangular label, the dress and jacket formed from joined strips of silk forming tabs at the neck, hips and shoulders, the jacket lined in matching velvet, bust 92cm, 36in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Poor condition, stains at the front neck edge have formed into holes, pale brown stains to front neck edge, front tabbed hip flounces; split at front left waistband. Great study piece and wonderful construction, but poor condition. Perspiration stains at underarms of jacket, visible to exterior of right underarm only. Faint stains to skirt of slip, hard to see.
