As the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital U.S. Army chaplain, Mulcahy wore chaplain vestments as he performed his duties.The white plastic tab collar black nylon apron fastens with ties. The ivory poly-cotton stole features an embroidered crucifix and crown; and off-white cotton socks feature a black embroidered crucifix. A metal ball-chain necklace with crucifix exhibits edgewear and scuffing. The ties exhibit discoloration; the stole exhibits heavy deterioration of the outer shell, separating embroidery, and a partially detached tassel corded end. Dressed in a red devil costume, Lock led the Oogie's Boys at Jack Skellington's (Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman) behest to kidnap Santa Claus (Ed Ivory).This production-made resin mask is post-production painted mauve pink on front, with paint overspray on the reverse. Its teeth are painted white with darker inset discolorations between the teeth. The latter is part of a poem frequently encountered on the carved bone handles of Qajar daggers.

Ëœ A 20 BORE NORTH MOROCCAN SNAPHAUNCE MUSKET, 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY TÉTOUAN with tapering sighted barrel formed in two stages, retained by nine chased white metal shaped bands, decorated with dense gold scrollwork behind the muzzle and over the breech, block-shaped back-sight, tang and lock decorated with gold en suite, the latter fitted with cock and battery also decorated with gold scrollwork (springs missing), hardwood full stock (small chips), inlaid in silver wire with a brief inscription ahead of the lock, leafy scrollwork about the tang, opposite the lock and around the butt, iron trigger-guard decorated with gold scrollwork en suite, and large ivory butt-plate (chipped), together with an embossed copper powder-flask by G. & J. Central panel with 22cm lacquer crack – centre top and another middle left 24cm crack. Central panel with black splatter staining near the base and slightly on left-hand panel on the base. Reverse panel with more significant shibayama losses including one entire sparrow and two leaves (except the stems). One wing of another sparrow is all that remains. Part of a bamboo rod section is missing. Some scratching and staining throughout.

Diana Jane, daughter of Edmund Pery, 1st Viscount Pery. He studied at St. John's College, Cambridge, before embarking on a career in politics. In 1812, Knox succeeded his father as M.P. for County Tyrone and later for Dungannon between 1818-1830. He gained the courtesy title Viscount Northland upon his father's elevation to the earldom of Ranfurly in 1831 and later succeeded his father as the 2nd Earl of Ranfurly in 1840. He married Mary Juliana, daughter of the Most Reverend William Stuart, in 1815, by whom he had four sons and six daughters. Upon his death in 1858, he was succeeded by his eldest son, Thomas.This item is offered for sale in accordance with the Ivory Act 2018 and has been assigned an exemption certificate, Ref. A number of the sitter's siblings were also painted by James Holmes Junior (see Provenance; see lots 346 and 347).In 1810, the sitter's father, Michael Henry Senior, was sent to work in the Colonies where he married Anne Mary Flower (1790-1876), daughter of Sir Charles Flower, Lord Mayor of London. During the War of 1812, he served as a Staff Officer and provincial Aide-de-Camp to Sir George Prévost (1767-1816) and went on to become the Commissioner for the Port of Quebec in 1826. The family lived in Quebec from 1811 to 1828. They were scheduled to spend a year in Florence, but as their father died during the voyage, their mother decided to return to England where the sons joined the armed forces whilst most of the daughters married into the aristocracy.Michael Henry Junior joined the Royal Navy and became a Captain. In 1849, he married Maria Vanneck (d.1903), daughter of the Hon. According to a contemporary account published in 1840 by the British consul to Cuba, David Turnbull (1794-1851), Hammel was "the sailing master of the Madagascar" and was stationed near Port Royal, Jamaica (see Travels in the West; Cuba with notices of Porto Rico, and the slave trade, 1840, p.427). Another account by Commodore Sir John Strutt Peyton records Hammel Strutt having detained a schooner Feliz, sailing under Portuguese colours about twenty miles east of Port Royal and carrying 326 slaves as cargo (see Accounts and Papers: Slave Trade, Session 5 February - 27 August 1839, vol. Born in Westminster into a naval family with connections to the Pitt family, Smith joined the Royal Navy in 1777 at the age of thirteen and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a lieutenant at the age of eighteen. He served with distinction in the American Revolutionary War, the French Revolutionary Wars, and the Napoleonic Wars, earning a reputation as a brilliant tactician and commander. In 1799, as a Captain of the HMS Tigre, he led an audacious attack on the French fleet at the Battle of the Nile, which resulted in a resounding victory for the British.After distinguishing himself in the Mediterranean, Smith returned to England in 1801, becoming a Member of Parliament for Rochester and the lover of Caroline of Brunswick, Princess of Wales. He returned to active duty in 1805 and sailed for Portugal. In 1807, during the Siege of Porto, Portugal, he successfully defended the city against a superior French force, earning him the title of 'Conqueror of Porto.' He also played a crucial role in the successful defence of Cádiz, Spain, against French forces during the Peninsular War. Smith was often entrusted with diplomatic missions by the British government, attending the Congress of Vienna and playing a key role in fostering alliances with various European powers to counter French expansionist ambitions. In 1815, he received a knighthood for his work with Wellington in securing the peace and guaranteeing that Louis XVIII could safely return to Paris. After his illustrious naval career, Smith retired from active service in 1816 and was later promoted to the rank of Admiral. He settled in Paris, where he lived a retired life, writing memoirs and assisting with British diplomatic efforts. He served as the First Lord of the Treasury twice, from 1783 to 1801 and from 1804 until his death in 1806.Born in 1759, the son of the prominent politician, William Pitt the Elder (1708-1778), who himself previously served as Prime Minister from 1766-68, Pitt the Younger entered politics at a young age. In 1766, his father was created Earl of Chatham. In 1782, he joined the government of Lord Shelburne as Chancellor of the Exchequer and was appointed a member of the Privy Council. As First Lord of the Treasury, he focused on reducing the national debt and promoting free trade. He also helped to negotiate the Treaty of Paris, which ended the American War of Independence. He was elected a Sheriff of the City of London in 1800 and later, in 1803, Lord Mayor of London. In 1808, he was created 1st baronet of Membland, Devon. He served as the Member of Parliament for New Romney in 1806 and for Hythe from 1810 until 1820. He was also a commissioner for exchequer bills and a partner in the banking firm, John Perring, Shaw, Barber & Co. Following the Panic of 1825 - a stock market crash resulting in part out of speculative land investments in Latin America - Perring lost his estates. He died in 1831 at the age of 65 and is interred in St. Pancras Church, London. The artist, William Grimaldi, was the great-grandson of Alessandro Maria Grimaldi, the heir of the Genoese family of Grimaldi, who had settled in England after the bombardment of Genoa in 1684. His clients included the Prince of Wales and Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany. In 1802, he succeeded to the titles of Baron FitzGibbon in the Peerage of Great Britain and Earl of Clare in the Irish Peerage. Educated at Christ Church, Oxford, he was active in the House of Lords from 1820, becoming a Privy Councillor in 1830. He served as Governor of Bombay from 1830-1835, as Deputy Lieutenant of the County of Limerick from 1846-1849 and afterwards was appointed Lord Lieutenant of the City of Limerick for the remainder of his life. In 1826, he married the Hon. Elizabeth Burrell, daughter of Peter Burrell, 1st Lord Gwydwyr and Priscilla Bertie, suo jure Baroness Willoughby de Eresby. The couple lived apart, Lady Clare moving to the Isle of Wight where she built a Catholic church at Ryde and a Priory at Carisbrooke. Lord Clare was a great friend of Lord Byron whom he met at Harrow School. Byron had claimed to love him "ad infinitum" and said that he could never hear the word "Clare" without "a murmur of the heart".
