A GEORGE IV TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE with eagle`s heads spouts and of ogee form, spirally reeded and chased with flowers and foliage, the domed lid with flower knop, leaf capped or ivory handle, crested, coffee pot, 24cm h, by Joseph Angell, London 1821, 75ozs gross (4) ++The two ivory handles probably original but with numerous fine light stained cracks, teapot - lower junction of the handle secured to its socket by a silver ring, old tiny spot of solder repair to the underside of the spout and a few light dents, slight wear on the lid resulting in two pinhead sized holes. Sucrier - minor dent on the widest part of the body, the marks good

A PAIR OF NORTHERN EUROPEAN IVORY STATUETTES one in the form of an harquebusier the other a swordsman in elaborate 17th century dress with plumed hat, slashed sleeves and ruffled breeches, on octagonal base and ebonised wood plinth, 29cm h overall, late 19th c ++First figure - sword scabbard held in right hand broken off in one piece and cleanly re-stuck at the hilt, the sword in the left hand lacking the blade. Free from shrinkage cracks or restoration, one or two faint hairlines on the base, some light yellowing on the reverse of the figure. Second figure - the gun carried over the shoulder originally with a somewhat longer barrel, the object held in the figure`s right hand incomplete, tiny hairline in right foot, no restoration

The second figure in fine condition, both well carved, finely detailed and attractive examples. No restoration
CHARLES JOHN ROBERTSON (1779-1830) JOHN PLOMER CLARKE seated three quarter length in his library, his right hand resting on the Dictionary of Agriculture, signed on the card backing "Car. Joan. Robertson pinxit Nov 1812" and in another`s hand "John Plomer Clarke born August 10th 1776", ivory, 15.65 x 12cm, gilt brass frame John Plomer Clarke (1776-1826) of Welton Place, Northamptonshire, High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1814 and Verderer of Rockingham Forest, married, 16 April 1806 Anna Maria Charlotte, eldest daughter of Sir John Nelthorpe, Bart. of Scawby, Lincolnshire. Robertson also painted a miniature of Margaret, Lady Nelthorp and other members of the family, c1813. ++Unexamined out of the frame but in apparently good condition although slightly ill fitting. The fixative of slightly textured appearance and with some localised instability of the paint surface on the green table cloth
