An exceptional Japanese silver, ivory and shibiyama Kodansu, Meiji Period, the hinged door enclosing three small gilt lacquered doors, with further lacquering to the base, inlaid with mother of pearl, abalone, wood, coral and horn, the whole profusely decorated with diapers and scrolling foliage, height including handle 22cm x 21.5cm wide x 14.5cm deep.
