Cantonese ivory sewing clamp, three chess pieces, a rectangular needle box and a Japanese netsuke. (6) Condition Report The sewing clamp is in good condition. The girl on the house is missing a sword(?) from the right hand. The other two chess pieces are in good condition. The lid of the needle box has an 8mm chip to the underside of one corner. The netsuke is in good condition.

No dents, splits or repairs. Marks good. Very light handling wear. Basically a very good example.

A signed Japanese Ivory Shibayama carving with ten insects, early Meiji period, in the form of a Mushroom complete with individually carved and painted gills under the cap, the stalk is signed and there are four insects inlaid into it, the top of the cap is inlaid with the remaining insects. These insects are made of a variety of semi-precious stones including Amber, Mother of Pearl, Coral, Paua shell, etc, the stalk measures 8 cms long and cap 6 cms diameter.
