CONDITION REPORT: Goldcrest: height 5.25cm, slight abrasion to back of bird and branch. Oriental pheasant: height 8cm, mall firing flaw under bird. Chaffinch: height 10cm, abrasion to bird's back, restoration to daisy stalks below bird. Other bird: height 12cm, good condition.
A small collection of Locke & Co Worcester blush ivory bird painted vessels including a peacock painted tyg by H Wall, a goldfinch by H Wall, another goldfinch and three flying birds, with various marks to bases (4). CONDITION REPORT: Tyg: height 5cm, abrasion to background paint - not on main panel, mark round the top of the handle. Goldfinch (larger): height 8cm, firing flaws, all over. Goldfinch (smaller): height 8.5cm, good condition. Squat vase: height 6cm, very small firing flaws, a little rubbing to gilding.
A small collection of Locke & Co Worcester blush ivory vessels comprising two coffee cans painted with birds, a globular preserve pot with silver plated swing handle and cover, painted with a bird on a blossom tree, a further circular pot with silver plated mounts decorated with poppies and a vase decorated with gilt heightened hops (5). CONDITION REPORT: Overall slight rubbing to gilding. Two coffee cans: height 5cm and 5.5cm, one has a small black mark near the rim. Preserve pot: height including cover but excluding handle 12cm, some surface dirt but good condition. Other swing handle pot: height including cover but excluding handle 10cm, chip and firing flaw to the two knows on the band, signed "J. Lewis". Vase: height 12.5cm, good condition.

CONDITION REPORT: Some surface dirt and abrasion to gilt heightening commensurate with age.

CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A large Japanese Meiji period ivory sectional okimono depicting a farmer with basket of fruit at his feet, signed to base, height 30.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The figure has losses - it used to have something in his right hand but is now chips to both sides, also there are some minor splits to the ivory.
A Finnigans leather gentleman's vanity case with fitted interior containing four George V hallmarked silver topped jars, Finnigans Ltd, London 1924, a further jar with toothbrushes, and a matched hallmarked silver scent bottle, London 1929, with associated silver cup, a pair of coat brushes, an ivory backed hand mirror, in canvas leather bound cover initialled "ANGH", 48 x 30 x 15cm. The suitcase originally belonged to the vendor's great grandfather (1868-1939), his initials being ANGH. The case was manufactured by Finnigans when they had a shop on Deansgate in Manchester before moving to Wilmslow. CONDITION REPORT: The canvas cover has a major split to one corner, some rubbing commensurate with age. The suitcase appears to be in good condition, but has traces of wear and use to the interior commensurate with age. It also appears that 3 original pieces are missing. Stitching on the case is good. Both locks work, one is stiff. Popper studs to leather tags on canvas cover in good order. Poppers to front canvas work but are not strong.
An unusual 19th century ivory and inlaid toilet swing mirror with gilt scrolling pediment and rectangular plate held by two pilasters, on rectangular walnut and ebonised base with four turned ivory bun feet, height 35cm, width of base 23.5cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: There are some chips to the corner of the upper rim of the base, it seems like there is an old repair to the same area and traces of old worm to the lower part of the pediment, traces of glue to the pilasters. Top and bottom parts of the pilasters are made of bone. Some splits to the ivory on the front lower part of the pediment. Some damage to the underneath.
An interesting collection of sewing implements including a brass sewing clamp with spring loaded bird and upper pin cushion, a late 19th century turned ivory example with reel holder, a further reel holder with mother of pearl terminal, a circular pin cushion with mirrored back and printed glass front decorated with Elmswood Church, Belfast, and three pieces of treen (7). CONDITION REPORT: The two ivory pieces have chips to the ivory. The other items are all in good condition.
A c.1900 marine ivory and bone sectional walking stick with vertebra inserts, length 90cm (af) and a further walking cane with turned ivory grip, length 88cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: Second section to sectional stick has a loss of 4x1.7cm, replaced with resin, minor chips to back of handle. Splits and minor losses to intersections. Other stick: minor scratches to head commensurate with age and use, very small split 1.3cm long.
An early 20th century crocodile skin travelling case containing a toothbrush, three pedicure implements and two jars, with fitted interior (2 items missing), 18 x 11cm, an ivory cup-and-bowl game with turned handle, an ivory paper knife modelled as a peasant woman (af), a leather cased tape measure, a small wicker basket and three pedicure implements with guilloche enamel decorated handles (af) (8).
A late Victorian novelty carved ivory and wood walking stick/umbrella handle, the tip modelled as a dog's head (lacking eyes), the yellow metal mounts stamped TJD & Co, length 16.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The inset eyes are lacking and there are several horizontal splits to the head and also to the bottom part of the handle, handle is overall rubbed, there is a metal bolt sticking out of it.
An early 20th century whale tooth carved with a standing nude, raised on square resin base to bone feet, height 17cm and a turned sectional ivory back scratcher with silver mounts, London 1931, the finial modelled as a hand, length 36cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The back scratcher has several splits and the very end of the handle appears to be bone, the main stem is ivory, also there are splits to the lower part of the stem and a few cracks to the lower part of the carved hand.
An Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam rectangular glove box set with carved sandalwood panels to each side within a micromosaic border and with ivory edges, raised on four turned brass feet, with velvet lined interior, 30 x 12 x 7.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Three ivory edges to the hinged lid are missing and replaced with white composite, there are a few areas of very minor losses to the foliage on the panels, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
An unusual Victorian electroplated mug with detachable lid and with hinged fastener surmounted with turned ivory finial, with loop handle with an internal pipe leading to the inside lowered bottom, raised on four outswept legs decorated with scrolls and acanthus leaves, with lozenge mark and makers mark "F Brs" to the base, height 16.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Inside the cup there is a pipe which appears to be an elongation of the handle, also the end of the handle has a hole so may have been used as a straw. Rubbing to predominantly to handle and tarnished throughout. With waterproof ink pen mark to the lid.
A George V hallmarked silver Art Deco four piece tea set, the teapot and hot water pot with stepped ivory finials and square section handles, all four pieces with band of stylised decoration to the foot, Wakeley & Wheeler, London 1933, length of teapot 25cm, combined approx 61ozt. CONDITION REPORT: Both finials have hairline cracks to the ivory, and signs of use to the interior. Some tarnishing and surface scratches commensurate with use and age, hallmarks are clear and all four pieces of good gauge.
An Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam fine micromosaic decorated sewing box of sarcophagus form, with green hardstone decorated edges, the hinged lid enclosing various compartments including three lidded section, on four ivory bracket feet and rosewood base, 22 x 16 x 8.5cm (some areas af). CONDITION REPORT: One major area of loss to the micromosaic to the top of the lid and approx 8 smaller areas, also one green hardstone edge is missing on the raised top on the lid, another major area of loss to the back and some very minor losses to some of the decorative borders, green hardstone edge missing to the back of the lid, some regluing. Interior has traces of wear commensurate with age.
CARTIER; a sterling hallmarked silver sugar scoop with turned ivory handle, raised on stepped circular foot, length 12.5cm, also a novelty electroplated money bank modelled as a tankard, stamped "Jurst" to the base (2). CONDITION REPORT: The hinged lid of the money box has a major dent and does not have a key (lid is locked), rubbing and tarnished throughout. Scoop has a dent to the back and the base is misshapen, covered with tarnish.
A Victorian hallmarked silver mounted ivory handled and tortoiseshell framed magnifying glass, embossed with birds with decorative borders and with ornamental motifs, Thomas Turner, Sheffield 1892, length 23cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: The handle is detached from the silver mounting attached to the glass. Traces of old regluing.
An Anglo-Indian mother of pearl and ivory micromosaic decorated jewellery box, the hinged lid enclosing green silk lined interior, on four ivory bracket feet (key missing). CONDITION REPORT: Some areas of loss to the micromosaic, and minor losses to the ivory stringing of the edges, wear commensurate with age. Width: 21cm. Depth: 11.5cm. Height including feet: 6.5cm.
An early 20th century ivory trinket box with silver bound edges and corners of the detachable lid., 6.5 x 6cm, a turned ivory trowel handle with white metal mounts, and a glass inkwell with guilloche enamel decorated brass lid and two pen rests, also a tortoiseshell page turner with foliate scroll decoration, length 35.5cm (4). CONDITION REPORT: There are a few splits to the ivory trinket box and the silver mount to the lid is slightly sticking up, one mount to the corner is missing.
