Red field with large ivory rectangular medallion at the top of the prayer arch; hooked medallions and rosettes in the field; pale yellow conjoined arrowhead main border.

Overall even wear with some corrosion in places; lacking outer borders; leatherette strips to all edges verso. The terracotta field with large ivory ground cruciform motif with inner large pale blue medallion; various hooked motifs within; pale blue band of rosettes at the top of the field; narrow dark brown border of rosettes. Soft palette and soft handle.

Some wear in places; narrow finely brocaded flat-weave ends. The third, a khorjin, circa 1950s-60s, 4ft. 11in. (opened) x 2ft. 6in. 1.50m. X 0.76m. Single medallion on a dark blue field within a medallion border. Wide brocaded and banded ends. (3)
Qashqa'i boteh rug, Fars, south west Persia, late 19th/early 20th century, 9ft. 4in. X 4ft. 11in. 2.85m. Overall wear; heavy in places; crease marks; losses to ends. Ivory field with all over diagonal rows of boteh motifs; wide dark blue main border of angular peacocks; multiple narrow guards. Where there is pile remaining, it is lustrous with a soft handle.

Terracotta lozenge-shaped hooked field with mid-blue centre medallion with ivory Qashqa'i emblem repeated in the mid-blue spandrels; all over angular flowering plants and medallions; walnut hooked medallion main border and ivory and terracotta guards. Lustrous wool and relatively soft handle.

Earthy-brown step-sided lozenge-shape field with dark blue centre medallion with ivory inner Qashqa'i medallion repeated in the dark blue spandrels; narrow medallion main border with inner light brown guard and ivory outer guard of linked hooked triangular motifs. Soft handle.

Overall wear with some corrosion to dark brown; heavier wear in the lower half; slight loss to lower end. Red shield shape field with three ivory pole medallions; dark blue inner field; dark blue frame with various filler ornaments; narrow ivory main border. (2)

Natural pale brown field woven with four large dark brown lions, their crowned heads with solemn regal shield-shape faces with ivory details; striped manes and paws and angular tails.
Collection of seven cushions, comprising four kelim cushions with royal blue velvet backs; a Bakhtiari, west Persia, 1940s-50s, flatweave cushion with piled details of four ducks and a child; the piled panelled border woven birds, animals and people; olive green fabric back; a Baluchi half khorjin, north east Persia, mid-20th century, with fastening loops at the top, now stuffed as a cushion and a Baluchi balisht, north east Persia, circa 1930s-40s, 3ft. X 1ft. 6in. 0.91m. X 0.46m. Now stuffed as a cushion. Pale camel field woven columns of medallions within a hooked motif border; fastening loops at the top with pastel coloured cotton tufts; the plainweave back woven with bands of ivory scrolling motifs. This retail silversmith's work is of good quality but his name, at present, is undocumented. He appears to have traded in Canton from circa 1840 to circa 1900. Ï’A pair of Edwardian green stained ivory cufflinks by Child & Child, circa 1905, the heart shaped panels set with green stained ivory, the gold panels stamped with the Child & Child makers mark, with belcher link connectors, panels 1.6cm long, 9g gross After a design by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, the eminent Pre-Raphaelite painter and jewellery designer. The heart was a favourite motif of Burne-Jones, and the cufflinks were originally produced for the artist's own use, and reproduced commercially during the 1880s. Burne-Jones had a preference for stained ivory over other stones, speaking in a letter to a friend of gifts he had given to his daughter he noted 'of all the things I gave her to wear on her little fingers none looked so sweet as a poor cheap bit of ivory, stained so that it looked like a cherry, and it makes you laugh with delight at its funny red splash of colour, and it beats all except the sapphire that is crown of stones.'
