Crack running the length of the ivory handle to four examples, one or two others with shorter cracks. Scratching and scuffing to case exterior, Sotheby's label ''Country House Sale 576A'' to cover.
{} A Silver Fish Service, George Howson, Sheffield 1930, comprising a pair of servers and twelve pairs of knives and forks, all with pistol grip ivory handles, the forks of three prong design, the knives with scimitar shaped blades, in a fitted case (26) All pieces with clear marks. Blades, tines and collars all marked. Split to the handle on one knife. Scratches and some signs of use, most visible on the knife blades. The silver of good gauge, overall excellent quality.

An Extensive Set of Silver Drawing Instruments by William Elliott, English, c.1840, 21 compasses and other instruments in sterling silver, including three-legged dividers and ivory sector with scales for setting out sundials with silver arch hinge, middle tier includes a further 13 ivory scale rules and protractors including some later additions, bottom layer with watercolours, palettes, architect's drawing pins, an ivory brush rest etc., all in velvet-lined, fitted nickel-silver bound rosewood case, width 34cm Note: The proportional dividers alone are a later replacement by Elliott Brothers and are in nickel silver not sterling silver.
