The teapot further part marked inside cover and on handle. The coffee-pot further part marked inside cover. The marks are generally clear, though with a small bit of wear. There is some overall minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises. The pieces, excluding the cream-jug, rock very slightly when placed on a flat surface.

Further part marked on handle and inside cover. The cream-jug fully marked under spoout. The sugar-bowl marked on side near handle with lion passant, date letter, duty mark and town mark. Marked with maker's mark under rim near one handle. There is some wear to the marks but each is generally legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points and to the gilding inside the cream-jug and sugar-bowl. There are some splits to the rim of the sugar-bowl and some bruising overall. Possibly erased. There is some cracking and discolouration to the ivory insulators which show no signs of having been altered or added to.
A Three-Piece George III Silver Tea-Service With an Elizabeth II Kettle, Stand and Lamp En Suite, The Tea-Service by William Burwash, London, 1818, The Kettle, Stand and Lamp by Mappin and Webb, Sheffield, 1959 each piece of the tea-service compressed circular and on spreading base, the lower bodies part-fluted, with shell and foliage-heightened gadrooned rim, the teapot engraved with a coat-of-arms on one side and two crests on the other, comprising a teapot, with wood handle and carved ivory finial; a cream-jug and a sugar-bowl, the kettle, stand and lamp similarly decorated, with wood handle, finial lacking the kettle, stand and lamp stand 29cm high, total gross weight 116oz 1dwt, 3,609gr (4) The crests are those of Cust and Brownlow and the arms are those of Cust quartering Brownlow and Bankes and impaling Newnham for William Cust (1787-1845), youngest son of Brownlow Cust, 1st Baron Brownlow (1744-1807), of Belton House, near Grantham, and his wife Sophia, daughter of Thomas Newnham, whom he married in 1819. With non-transferable standard ivory exemption declaration number RXAY3M8K. The teapot, cream-jug and sugar-bowl fully marked underneath. The teapot further part-marked inside cover. The marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving and high points. The wood handle is perhaps replaced. There is some cracking and staining to the ivory, which shows no indication of have been altered or added to in any way. The kettle, stand and lamp marked as expected. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The chain which holds connects one of the pins to the body has become detached from the pin. There is no finial on the cover.

A Victorian mahogany microscope slide collectors cabinet, with receesed brass handle and glass door, 21 numbered drawers containing an extensive collection curated by local botanist and entomologist George West, mainly examples of fern, including Filices, Equisetales, Lepidodendron, Lyginodendrou, Sphenophyllium, etc, a total of 215 slides, bottom drawer contains a catalogue of sections of fossil plants and various beetle specimens housed in a cigarette tin, case size 28cm x 41cm x 30.5cm, there is also a large quantity of hand written notes and research compiled by George West relating to the compiling of the Geological slides themselves. Pair of mid-17th century cuffs, possibly from a pair of gauntlets, worked in silk threads, metal crinkleplate, metal twist, smooth purl and spangles to ivory silk ground with stylised foliage and two mirror image birds. Top cuff having a looped metallic braid along the bottom edge and part of one side, each 26cm at widest point, mounted on mauve plush ground, framed in faux tortoiseshell and ebonised frame and glazed. With various printed and handwritten notes and labels verso: One, apparently 19th century, reads 'Lent by Sir Digby Wyatt, Pairs of Embroidered Gauntlets, Old English Work 1650' and a later note 'Cuffs of a pair of gauntlets worn by one of the family of Russell of Little Malvern, who took part in the Battle of Worcester 1651'
An Art Deco shagreen covered cigarette box. Height 6cm, width 17.75cm, depth 10cm , together with a Georgian shagreen covered etui with monogrammed cartouche to lid (lacking interior) (2).Ivory registration number: ZH1DGT8N. The ciggerette box has a small dent to one corner, a very tiny chip to handle, two tiny cracks to handle, also some staining, interior in good condition, otherwise no condition issues. The etui has loss to interior, damage to lid and body, with heavy loss to shagreen cover. Images of defects have now been uploaded to our website.
