Two 1920's Chinese silkwork embroidered picturesEach of the elongated panels embroidered in vibrant threads against an ivory ground detailed with chrysanthemum flowering lotus, bamboo peacocks and further birds before naturalistic landscapes, 150x58cm, stamped verso Hors-conroups medailled'or exposition yunhan. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Transfer of pigment from the threads to the silk due to them being rolled. Small holes to the edges, due to them being pinned. Staining to both. Small dark spots visible to the silk background. Overall colours remain good.

CONDITION REPORT: Extensive loss to the inlay upper cover of the box. Extensive cracking to the ivory at the cover. Both front feet are broken and restuck. Loss to the inlay at the cover of the boxes to the interior. One cover lost to the interior.
