A George III burr yew and inlaid tea caddy of canted rectangular form, the cover and front inlaid oval reserves of flowers, inner cover zinc lined, 10cm x 20cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall exterior appears in very good condition. Hinged lid is slightly out of shape (possibly due to a restoration to the back near the hinges) so does not completely close. Small section of chequer banding to lid missing from front. Small patches of staining to rose motif on lid. Veneer to lower area at back looks to have been restored. Interior - inlaid border of caddy lid has some tiny cracks and losses. Turned ivory handle chipped. Zinc lining distressed. End of key appears to have broken off in lock.
