An 18th Century Anglo-Indian and chinoiserie decorated cabinet on stand:, with peony and chrysanthemum blossom and foliage heightened in gilt on a black lacquer ground, the cabinet with a hinged fall enclosing an ivory inlaid interior with stellar, foliate and lozenge geometric designs, containing an arrangement of six drawers, having a candle slide below and brass drop carrying handles to the sides, the stand on cabriole legs, terminating in pad feet, the cabinet 44.5cm (1ft 5 1/2in) wide, the stand 53cm (1ft 9in) wide, overall height 103.5cm (3ft 4 3/4in), with restorations.
A Chinese carved sandalwood rectangular box: finely carved with figures by pavillions and in garden landscapes, the hinged lid enclosing a lift-out tray with eleven lidded compartments with ivory gourd finials, an oval plaque to the lid inscribed 'Mrs C.A.Latter', mid 19th century, 26cm [some damage].
