A fine and unusual 19th-century white marble, ivory and ormolu mantel clock, by Maple Co, Paris, the drum dial beside a seated figure in ivory, holding a pair of pipes and a serpent, the enamel dial bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, movement striking on a bell, on a shaped rectangular base, with beaded and scroll decoration, on four bun feet, 34 cm high x 31 cm x 12 cm.Condition report: No key present. Some damage and repair to the fingers of the lady, with natural surface cracking to the ivory in places. Some repair to front corner of marble base. Likely to have been re-gilded. Not tested as working
