Two 19th century portrait miniatures on ivory, depicting young ladies, each in an ebonised frame. Images 7 cm x 5.7 cm. CONDITION REPORT: In our opinion these are the original frames. The portrait with the red dress is sealed at the back and clearly the image has not been removed. The painting itself appears to be in good order with no evidence of any touching up. The brass surround is tarnished. The outer frame has numerous old marks and minor scratches but no significant issues. The second painting is a little less fine than the first but again there is no evidence of any overpainting as far as we can tell. The brass surround is a little tarnished in places. The rectangular frame is structurally sound but does have a minor stress fracture below the hanger. There is rubbing around where the hanger sits.

Weight elephants 63 grams. The lid of the cat and monkey casket is in good order with no issues. The base has a very small chip to the top edge which is covered by the lid recess. There is a very small 3 mm hairline crack from this point. This is a very minor fault. The second casket is in first class condition with no issues. There are no hairline cracks or chips.
A Japanese carved ivory figure of Kannon, and an ivory figure of a man and boy, Kannon signed to base. Tallest 13 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The man and boy figure is in generally very good condition with no chips or any significant damage. There is no restoration. The rear of the figure across the sleeve of the robe has a stress mark in the ivory which to a large extent forms a part of the pattern. This is the only very minor issue. The figure of Kannon is in generally very good condition with no chips or any other significant damage. There are some minor stress marks to the ivory but no serious issues. The wooden stand is in good order also.
An early 20th century Chinese carved ivory trinket box, carved with dragons. Length 14 cm. CONDITION REPORT: We have had a good look at this casket under a magnifying glass and can see no significant problems with the ivory. The top carved surface is in good order with no losses and is simply dirty. All side panels are in good condition too and there are no cracks that we can see. The only minor issue is that the two narrow rectangular side panels to the left and right underneath the top are both detached. The rear left hand leg is also detached but present. The interior mirror looks to be a later replacement. The lock is present, but we do not have a key. The gross weight is 223 grams.

CONDITION REPORT: The Chinnan figure is in generally good order with no visible losses or significant chips. The figure is however extremely dirty and there are some stress fractures to the ivory in places. These should be evident from our images. The figure is detached from the base. The bas itself is in good order. The fisherman figure is also extremely dirty and does have more issues than Chinnan. When viewed from the front you will see that the second of the two feathers has a break. There is also a significant stress fracture running vertically from the base up to the bottom of the basket. The right hand rear foot of the boy with fish has a stress fracture. The ivory segment to the bas has a series of stress fractures. On the opposing side at the rear of the figure there is a stress fracture running from the top of the robe down to the shoulder of the second figure. You will also see stress fractures to the base and segment below. We do not think that there any pieces missing or any significant chips, just the breaks and cracks that you will see from the images.
