There is some staining and mould to the inside of the parasol near the wooden sticks. The ivory end of the parasol will be removed prior to the sale. There is some staining and ripping to the fan. Some dings and bruising to the jug. Some discolouration and cracking to the ivory finial. Hallmarks to underside clear. Hinge and cover in good condition. Some wear to decoration on body. The lid with a noticeable shrinkage split through the middle which goes through to the interior  The veneers of the top with hairline shrinkage fractures.  The moulded edge of the lid and the base with two losses, relaying, lifting and replaced sections. The sides with further shrinkage to veneers.  Some infilled repair around the escutcheon.  The pine base with a split running from front to back. The interior of the lid painted red.  The lock is later replaced and there is a patched repair to the lock clasp of the lid.  The interior with a later pine inset lining. Overall heavy wear and tear consistent with age, use and ongoing restoration.
