A set of twelve 19th Century stained green ivory handled knives and forks with white metal mounts, ten of the knife blades stamped "Nowil", another "Mappin & Webb", the other un-marked CONDITION REPORTS Ivory handles split and with some discolouration, one knife has a loose silver collar, blades are discoloured and mis-shapen conducive with age and use, total length of knives measure between 26.5 cm and 27.5 cm, ten being 27 cm or over, handles measure from 9.6 cm to just over 10 cm, nine being 10 cm. A couple of fork tines are mis-shapen conducive with age and use, full length measures from 20.5 cm to 21 cm, all handles approx. 9 cm in length.
An early 20th Century ivory cigarette box with plaque inscribed "With compliments of Osagyefo, the President of The Republic of Ghana", 15.5 cm wide x 4.25 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Wear, scuffs, dirt, yellowing. Lid separating from rim and pins visible, and slightly warped. A few small frits and chips to edges. size - 15.5 cm wide side to side top , front to back 9 cm top and height 4.25cm
A Meiji period Japanese carved ivory okimono of boy holding bamboo with basket full of leaves and crab by his feet, two character mark to base, raised on a hardwood stand, 20 cm high CONDITION REPORTS General wear and scuffs, and some yellowing. Base has quite a few cracks. One finger missing, and another finger partly missing. Fitment / section of carving missing from front of his garment. Some pieces of the branch missing. A sections broken off and missing from the crab. There is no object in his left hand, so possibly an item missing from that area. Bowl has some cracks. Crack to leg. Some chips to edges. However, overall appears to be well carved and with good detail.
