A Victorian silver plated 'Napier' coffee maker, designed by James Napier, with engraved decoration and ivory handles, stamped 0697 to base, 35cm high, accompanied by a book. A very similar example can be found illustrated in Coffee pots and coffee makers by Edward Bramah, attributed to James Napier, who invented this machine in the early 1840's. This example appears to date from the 1890's, when he added a serving tap as an improvement to his earlier design.

Mounted with an turned ivory knop. 87.5cms long *This walking cane is accompanied with correspondence from CITES which states, 'Following careful consideration we believe that this cane has been sufficiently altered enough to fulfil the Worked Items Derogation (article 2(w) of EC Regulation 338/97) and does therefore not require an Article 10 Certificate in order to be sold within the EU.
