An embroidered silk metal framed purse, French, late 18th century, of green silk embroidered with floral springs within gilt braid scrolls, with ivory damask side panels and pink silk lining, 11cm, 4 1/4in CONDITION REPORT: Silk has a dark stain over most of the one side of the purse - so colour actually looks quite even. The other side with stain down left side. Lacking a sequin from one side. Gilt strip strapwork is good. Pink/buff figured silk sides are good - slightly grimey. Steel frame is slightly corroded generally. Pale salmon pink lining is good.
