Of WWI interest-a late 19th /early 20th century pesh kabz:, the straight single edge double fullered blade inscribed to one side 'Adrainople 1851' and 'From a dead Turk Galipoli (sic) 1915 to the other' , with brass hilt and two piece ivory grip of traditional form , blade length 36.5cm.* Notes- Adrianople was the name used in English until 1928 for the city of Edirne.
A William IV ivory handled mameluke by Andrews of London presented to Lord Charles Innes-Kerr:, the curved blade with single edge and clipped back pin, decorated with crown and 'WRIV' cypher over crossed sword and cannon within a laurel wreath, signed as per title to ricasso with Pall Mall address, regulation cast brass hilt with quillons, two piece ivory grip with Tudor Rose securing pins and laurel wreath mounted bullion loop, in a polished brass scabbard with double suspension rings, blade length 76.5cm long.*Provenance Formerly the property of Lord Charles Innes-Kerr, originally owned by his maternal grandfather James Charles Dalbiac then purchased by W H Potter as a memento of Lord Charles from the auction of the contents of Iron Cross House, Byfield, Northamptonshire. Iron Cross House was owned by Mr Potter and had been leased to Lord and Lady Innes-Kerr until 1916 as a hunting 'box'
A British 1803 pattern Light Infantry Officer's sword by J J Runkel, Solingen:, the curved blade with engraved armorial and militia to one side, the other with crown and 'GR' cypher, signed to the top of ricasso as per title, over a gilt brass open hilt and guard, wire bound chequered ivory grip and lions head pommel, together in a gilt brass mounted black leather scabbard with sunburst decoration suspension loop mounts, blade length 81cm.
