Akstafa long rug, Kazak area, south west Caucasus, second half 19th century, 9ft. 6in. X 4ft. 7in. 2.90m. X 1.40m. Overall even wear. Dark blue field with four pairs of Akstafa birds and five central medallions; many filler ornaments including tiny birds (some of which are upside down) and animals; ivory main border of interlocking motifs and typical narrow guards. A most impressive rug with lustrous wool and rich palette of many colours including various shades of blue and green; soft yellow, terracotta and others. Two Akstafa rugs with interlock borders are illustrated in Bennett, I. op. Cit. Pp. 180-182; pls. 217 and 218.

Chinese ivory silk satin bed cover, early 20th century, 88in. X 74in. 224cm. X 188cm. Exquisitely embroidered in coloured silks and couched metal threads with central medallion; small dragons in each corner; the side border with baskets of fruit and flowers, exotic birds, butterflies and auspicious objects. Shattering to the silk ground. Quilted lining; remnants of coloured silk fringing. In need of sympathetic conservation.
Feraghan carpet, north west Persia, second half 19th century, 12ft. 3in. X 9ft. 6in. 3.73m. X 2.90m. Overall even wear; repaired crease marks in places; wide fabric band to all edges verso. Ivory, dark blue and terracotta concentric medallions and ivory spandrels with all over herati design; narrow flowerhead and foliage terracotta main border. Finely woven with velvety wool. Yomut Turkmen kepse gul carpet, Turkmenistan, second half 19th century, 10ft. 2in. X 6ft. 2in. 3.10m. X 1.88m. Overall wear, heavy in places; outer guard missing lower end; holes to left side; reweaving to right side; losses to ends. Ivory main border of 'curled leaf' motif to long sides becoming the so-called 'boat' border at each end. Lustrous wool with good range of colour.
Kerman carpet, south east Persia, circa 1960s, 16ft. 5in. X 13ft. 5m. 5m. X 3.96m. Leatherette strips to each selvedge. Dark blue field with deep-red and pale blue central medallion; arabesque palmettes and flowers with pale blue details; pale blue spandrels; deep red main border within ivory, pale blue and ochre floral guards. Inscription cartouche in outer guard top end. Pretty, classical design in a rich palette.

Kashan prayer rug, west Persia, early 20th century, 6ft. 6in. X 4ft. 3in. 1.98m. X 1.30m. Overall even wear with slight losses to ends. Fine, close clipped velvety wool. Very pretty rug; the dark blue mihrab with vase of well drawn flowers and foliage; light red floral spandrels; light red main border of cypress trees and vases of flowers extending into both ivory guards.
Kerman carpet, (reduced) south east Persia, mid-20th century, 17ft. 11in. X 12ft. 5in. 5.46m. X 3.78m. Reduced in length by a horizontal cut at the lower end of the field; the cut and rejoin being almost imperceptible; the reduction appears to be only 2in. measuring from the end of the central medallion.. Small surface mark lower right side field. Plain ivory/cream field with central pale blue floral medallion repeated in the wide mid-blue floral main border with pale blue guards. A very pretty design.
Three Royal Worcester vases, the first of globular form decorated with a butterfly and a leafy branch, printed mark to the base, the second with ivory blush decorated with flowers, printed marks to the base, numbered 1507 and the third with a long neck decorated with ivory blush and flowers, 17cm high, (3)
A large and finely-detailed Chinese carved ivory card case, one side carved with figures on floral shaped panel and the other side carved with figures on a cross-shaped panel centred by plain oval reserve, Cantonese, second half of 19th century, Qing period, 11.5cm x 7.5cm, shrinkage cracks to covers and inner rim, otherwise no defects found.
An Edwardian silver-handled ivory paper knife, maker's mark worn, Birmingham 1907, the handle with garlands around a vacant cartouche. 27.5 cm. long. The square-ended blade is in good condition, the handle has some bruising and is worn through on a few high spots. One cartouche has very worn initials.
