Gay Jules. I: The significantly enlarged fourth edition of the bibliography compiled by the bookseller, and publisher Jules Gay (1809-1883), well known as an activist in socialist movement. It is doubtless his most famous work, and still considered the best source of information on French literary erotica, works which contemporaries libraries had often kepf in the so-called Enfer. The 1984-1900 publication is supplemented with materials contributed by J. Lemonnyer, and the fourth volume includes the impressive Table.
