A 19c Oriental ivory and silk fan, the fan leaf decorated with silk embroidery depicting a bird of paradise perched on a tree amongst flowers, foliage, insects and finches. The end sticks accurately carved in high relief with figures in village settings, flowers and insects. The fan is contained in an ebonised and gilt decorated fitted box, the fan with 11.5" sticks.
