λ Three Yoruba divination heads Nigeria bone, the largest inscribed Rev E T Packenham...Yoruba, 8.5cm high, a bone figure amulet, two ivory bracelets with inlaid pewter dots, a snake vertebrae, a coconut slice strand and a quantity of coconut shell beads, with a handwritten note Beads made from coconut shell. Worn around waist by girls & women. Sometimes nothing else! Provenance Reverend Edward Thomas Packenham, Church Missionary Society superintendent. Stationed in Owo, Oshogbo and Lagos 1909 - 1921.

Smithsonian Institution, Accession Number 80A00050, for a needle case with four seated figures collected by Edward W. Nelson, from King Island, Bering Strait, Alaska, November 1880.

λ A Raven Flood Totem Alaska carved walrus ivory with red and black staining, mounted, 13.5cm high, another walrus ivory totem, 13.3cm and an Inuit marine ivory needle, 16.5cm long. (3) Similar totems were sold through the Nugget Shop, Juneau, Alaska, 1913 - 1938. This one depicts the flood myth of the raven flying to heaven with children in his arms, saving them from the flood.
