Rare George II provincial silver coffee pot of tapering cylindrical form, with dot-punched borders, engraved crest, serpent-style spout and hinged domed cover, replacement silver scroll handle with ivory insulators (body Exeter 1732), possibly by Sampson Bennett of Falmouth (handle with Victorian marks). All at approximately 28ozs, 23.5cm overall height CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Surface wear, scratching and minor dents, some pitting. Handle is a Victorian replacement and mounts where they join body may have been repaired. Punched decoration, possibly later. Cover has dent to one side, some minor damage on inside under finial and finial possibly later, marks on base clear, cover is unmarked
19th century Chinese carved ivory card case, typically decorated in low relief with continuous frieze of pagodas and figures in trees, with vacant oval cartouche, 9.5cm high CONDITION REPORT When cover is removed runs from enclosed edge upper left of oval cartouche roughly vertical slightly into carved relief split approximately 2cm in length, otherwise appears to be in good generally original condition
Late 19th / early 20th century Chinese carved ivory concentric ball tower with seven graduated balls carved with dragons, with three horse supports to circular base with dragon carved frieze, 53cm high CONDITION REPORT It is unclear what the original surmount was but this is now missing. A few minor splits to internal balls, overall yellowed discolouration and minor wear but otherwise appears in good condition
