A late Georgian silver tea set by Charles Gordon, London 1834, comprising a teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and milk jug, each with c scroll handle, the teapot with ivory rings to handle and cast foliage finial to hinged lid, all pieces with etched monogram, hallmarks to underside, combined weight 1330 grams
AN EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD IVORY, GOLD LACQUER AND SHIBAYAMA TABLE SCREEN, the gold lacquer panels onlaid with mother of pearl and depicting two cranes beside a cherry tree as well as other birds and native flora, the reverse with black lacquer and fine gold work depicting flora and birds with subtle ripples of water, the panels inset within ivory frames and embellished with silver mounts and hinges, with a mother of pearl seal tablet to the lower left of one panel, fully open measuring 27.5cm x 30cm.
