A Japanese ivory okimono, a standing Geisha glancing down towards a lotus bud she holds in her left hand while her right hand grips her official kimono which she wears with a matching obi, both engraved with floral and diaper patterns. Signed. Meiji period. Height 19cm. Condition report: The layers of okimono on her right side has been broken and glued back on. A few hairline cracks, see picture, and the black on some of the flower has warn away.

A Japanese ivory okimono carved as a pyramid commencing with a wheeled carriage within which are Hotei and Bishamon-ten holding symbolic objects, three children stand on the outside, above the carriage a minogame upon which stands a figure of Benten, Goddess of Eloquence holding a fan and a peach, at her side two young girls. A Japanese ivory group of two Samurai paused to assess a situation, one as an equestrian looks out towards an horizon as he sits bearing arms with a Daisho and a quiver of arrows, his companion on foot squats by the horses' forelegs, wearing a wakizashi, while placing upon the ground a ladle or hammer like object. The shaped base signed in sosho and with two tensho character seals. Meiji period. Height 13cm. Condition report: Cracks on all four hoofs of horse and numerous other small cracks (see pics). Glue or resin on left reins where it joins bridle on horses head and on the other end of rein in riders hand possibly broken at the same time.

A Japanese ivory netsuke carved as an elephant standing four square and mounted with a throne style chair within which sits a youth dressed in Chinese costume and holding a uchiway style fan, five other youths stand around the elephants legs playing musical instruments, on oval base signed in elaborate cartouches Chikuyosai Tomochika and tensho seal reading Tomochika. Late Edo. A Japanese ivory okimono, a semi-kneeling street entertainer beating a small hand drum, at his feet a basket with four feet containing a Noh mask and upon his back a Shishimai mask, a cane and garments, his coat decorated with a wave motif diaper, signed Useki. Late Meiji. Height 7cm. Condition report: His right toe is re-glued, basket cords incomplete and some loss from his backpack possibly due to cordage.
A Japanese ivory okimono, a tutor and pupil seated at a low table, the former holding a brush and teaching the pupil calligraphy, beside the latter a teapot and cha-wan, signed Tamayuki(?) Late Meiji. Width 6cm. Condition report: The tutor left leg has been glued to his body (may have been made in two parts). Also, the left leg has two very fine cracks, one disguised in pattern on trousers.

Condition report: The cat has been broken and glued. Two very fine hairline cracks in larger fish, tail of small fish chipped and large split along shell.
