Condition report: Edge moulding and stringing all intact and original; slight blemish on the lid; the key doesn't turn the lock; foil linings in poor condition. Overall the box is in very good condition.
Victorian silver hot water jug with matching stand and spirit burner by Robert Garrard, London 1875, the spirally fluted body with an ivory handle, height of jug 26cm, gross weight 46oz 14dwt. Condition report: NB this lot was originally catalogued as a coffee pot; hinge slightly loose; hallmarks on lid and base clear; handle firm, the ivory has a few cracks at the ends; no splits or repairs and appears to stand upright; jug 1061.6g all in. The stand and burner are both engraved with a crest; hallmarks clear; burner has a few dents and its frame in the stand is a little mis-shapen. Stand 300g; burner and wick 92.2g.
