Also stamped on inner lid for (John) Le Cheminant, 72a Wimpole Street, London. Cheminant is recorded at this address in the 1872 London Directory, which corresponds with the fact that Grant was not knighted until 1866, and he is referred to as "Sir Francis Grant" in the inscription. At this date, Grant lived in London, and of course would have had the miniature framed locally.
