Ivory, Dundee, with strawberry decoration to the four corners, the arch having a moonphase disc painted with land and seascapes, the falseplate to the dial embossed to the rear with the name of the well-known dialmaker Wilson, Birmingham, the oak case having quartered pillars and a swan-neck pediment to the hood, all standing on bracket feet, height 202cm.* Biography Thomas Ivory is recorded as working in Dundee from circa 1793 until after 1825 having been made a Burgess of the city in July 1795.
