The lid of the deck box with some small old white paint splashes

Braham was orphaned at an early age and, like many Jewish poor in the 19th century, made a living selling pencils on the streets. He was heard singing at the Great Synagogue, London by Michael Lioni who fostered the young talent. After marrying into the aristocracy and singing MendelssohnÂ’s second symphony under the composers baton, he undertook a tour of America and obtained an international reputation as the leading tenor of his age. -1
