G1047. 22cm high approx.(B.P. 21% + VAT) Some wear to the base and some loss to the gilding. Very grubby inside. Minor wear in places but no obvious chips, cracks or restoration.

After Pierrele Faguays, an Art Deco patinated bronze figure modelled as a dancing girl with a floral garland, set to a stepped marble and bronze base, signed, numbered 'A1236' and foundary marked in the casting, 55cm high, with a resin and faux ivory Art Deco figure modelled as a lady in an opalescent green dress, set to a shaped and stepped faux marble base, 50cm high (at fault) (2) CONDITION REPORT:The Faguays figure appears to be in good overall condition, showing minor wear to the finish, but no visible damage. The resin figure shows a loss to the little finger of the left hand, and a somewhat poor fit to the faux ivory elements. The figure is loose on its base and requires careful handling when moved.

A Royal Worcester blush ivory part service, late 19th century, comprising two low tazzas (one at fault) and twelve plates, each piece with polychrome enamel floral sprays bounded by a relief moulded trefoil border with pierced webs between each foil, each piece with puce maker's mark for 1897, the tazzas with 'RdNo 254791', the plates with 'RdNo 253408' (14) CONDITION REPORT: All pieces show minor surface wear including fine surface scratching, and rubbing to the gilt highlights. The at fault tazza shows a visible repair to one of the pierced webs and hairline cracks running from the pierced webs to the foot. The other tazza shows fine craze lines to the underside.

A GOOD CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE ANHUA-DECORATED 'LOTUS' STEM CUP 17TH CENTURY The rounded sides raised to a slightly everted rim, decorated in anhua on the exterior with a frieze of lotus scrolls, supported on a spreading pedestal foot, covered with a creamy glaze in an ivory tone, 6.5cm. Provenance: consigned by Captain W F Collins from Peking to Bluett's, and later purchased by Mr Charles Sydney Cheston, painter, d.1960, 3rd February 1926, and thence by descent. Recorded in Charles Cheston's 1946 catalogue as purchased from Bluett & Sons for £8; cf. R Davids & D Jellinek, Provenance, p.124 for further information about Captain William F Collins. Cf.
