MARKLIN 00 TWE 700 Tinplate Diesel Electric Rail Car in Red and Ivory livery with a Silver roof mounted on two four wheel bogies with hand reverse. The Car is electrically lit with cut out windows and celluloid panes. The model is complete apart from some missing celluloid window panes - the tinplate body with TWE 700 and Marklin made in Germany in Gold and Black lettering to the front and rear and 1 and 2 in Gold to both sides is in Good condition. 2 of the Driving wheels (one on either side) have metal fatigue cracks. Remaining wheels and the tinplate motor bogie and rear bogie frames are in Good condition. The motor is complete but untested - the centre pick ups have wear grooves which suggest moderate to heavy use.

The distinguished French admiral Pierre-Louis-Charles Rigault de Genouilly (1807-73) achieved great success in the Cochinchina campaign (1858-62) that inaugurated nearly a century of French colonial rule in Vietnam. It had originated as a punitive expedition, as had the Anglo French campaign in China that became the Second Opium War, during which he commanded the French naval division. After the fall of the Second Empire he retired to Spain where he died in Barcelona. Corkscrew lacking the peg and with rust on the worm. ENGLISH SCHOOL, 19TH CENTURY MARGARET LEVETT-PRINSEP, NEE MONRO (D 1837) with tightly curled brown hair, standing three quarter length in a pink dress beside a guitar and music, before drapery, bears inscription in an old hand and dated 1826 verso, ivory, 11.5 x 9cm, papier mâché frame with giltmetal grapes hanger The sitter was the daughter of David Monro, a wealthy Scottish businessman who made a fortune in Canada before retiring to Bath. She was the first wife of Thomas Levett-Prinsep (d 1849) of Wychnor Park, Staffordshire and subsequently Croxall Hall, Derbyshire, whom she married in 1831. Finger shaped stain lower centre, some slight white powdering on the surface. On the backing the miniature bears the old inscription "by Freeman 1826" in pencil
