A fine late 19th Century Maltese bobbin lace drawstring bag of shield form, the central leaf panel within a foliate border, together with a cream crochet dress with yellow rayon-satin underskirt, a late 19th Century infant's christening robe and other infant's clothing, together with a large collection of ivory toned damask napkins and tablecloths and other fabric items.
A Royal Worcester bone china figure 'Dancing', circa 1902, modelled as a classical maiden playing castanets, wearing an ivory and blush tunic painted with flowers, picked out in gilt, on a circular base, puce factory mark, registration number and model number '1827' to base, height approx 34cm. A Combination of Chance and Skill, n.d., mid 19th c., comprising a silver plated miniature roulette wheel with hinged flaps engraved with the names of the pieces (the Queen, the Chevalier, the Connetable, the Herald, the Page, the Dwarf), an ivory ball, a scoreboard with two dials, eighteen porcelain playing disks with transfer-print allegorical drawings representing the six characters, plus folding playing board and 16 pp. instruction booklet, all contained in orig. fitted mahogany box, approx. 8 x 8 in (20 x 20 cm) when closed 'The Inventor has no thought of introducing the game of Tournoy either as a rival to, or an improvement on the noble game of Chess; but, merely as an agreeable mode of recreation of quite a different order'. An Entirely New Invention, n.d., c. 1840s, comprising a black disk with radial slits and six double-sided hand-col. pictorial disks (incl. horse and rider, rowing boats, cyclist, juggler, dancing couple, drawing water from a well, etc.), with orig. ivory handle, all contained in orig. cardboard box with pict. panel and instructions in French and English to lid, some damage, approx. 9.5 x 9.5 in (24 x 24 cm) 'First place upon the turning axle the Disk... then affix one with figures against it... Place yourself before a looking glass or mirror... give to it a quick rotary motion... The magic effect produced before the Eyes of the spectator by the varied movements of the figures is truly surprising'. (1)

A RARE GERMAN HUNTING SWORD INCORPORATING A TURKISH 17TH CENTURY BLADE AND MOUNTS, MID-18TH CENTURY with straight blade double-edged at the point, etched with an inscription within a shallow fuller on one side, silver ferrule decorated with a scrolled cartouche on a stippled ground, finely carved ivory hilt decorated with rococo scalloped ornament in high relief, rising to a pierced pommel formed of a series of scrolls and scrolling tendrils (small age cracks), in its leather-covered wooden scabbard complete with large Turkish 17th Century silver chape chased with a pattern of flowers and foliage on a punched ground, and German locket complete with a scallop-shaped button for suspension 52.6cm; 20N in bladeThe inscriptions on the blade are from the Qur'an, Surah al-Ikhlas (CXII) and Surah al-Saff (LXI), parts of 13. The relatively crude style of the inscription are commensurate with an early date of manufacture.
AN IRISH OFFICER'S SWORD BY J. LAMPREY, 29 WESTMORLAND ST, DUBLIN LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY with curved fullered blade double-edged towards the tip, etched and gilt with foliage, the crowned Royal Cypher, the Royal Arms and trophies on a blued panel over the lower half (chips, surface rust), gilt-brass stirrup hilt incorporating backstrap and pommel formed as a maned lionshead, and finely chequered ivory grip, in its original leather scabbard with signed gilt-brass locket (chape missing), and in untouched uncleaned condition throughout 77cm; 30Gin blade A hand written inscription attached to the hilt records that this belonged to Robert Armstrong of the Irish Yeomanry at the time of the 1798 rebellion.

A FINE LLOYDS PATRIOTIC FUND SWORD OF 100 TYPE PRESENTED TO CAPTAIN PETER RAINIER OF H.M.S.CAROLINE, BY RICHARD TEED, LANCASTER COURT, STRAND, DATED 1806 with curved fullered blade etched and gilt over its entire surface with elaborate designs of foliage, the figures of Victory and Justice, Naval trophies, the Royal coat-of-arms, and Royal cypher, the presentation inscription to Captain Peter Rainier and his initials 'PR' all on a blued ground (very small areas of wear), gilt-brass hilt, including quillons formed as fasces, langets applied with Naval trophies, knuckle-guard formed as a Hercules club entwined with a serpent, and the back-strap as the pelt of the Nemean Lion, finely chequered ivory grip secured at the base by a laurel wreath, in its original gilt-brass scabbard signed around the mouth, with two slotted panels on each side filled with elaborate Naval trophies, the main body of the scabbard applied with cast and chased panels, decorated with Hercules and the Nemean Lion at the bottom, Hercul s and the Lernean Hydra in the centre, and the seated figure of Brittania beneath the inscription 'Caroline 1806', with two scrolling serpent loops for suspension, and remaining in very good to fine condition throughout 76.8cm; 30Din blade
A GERMAN WHEEL-LOCK SPORTING RIFLE 17TH CENTURY AND LATER with blued octagonal sighted barrel chiselled with scrolling acanthus on a gilt ground at the muzzle, over the median and the breech, the latter stamped with a brass-lined barrelsmith's mark (rubbed), blued lock chiselled with an exotic bird and foliage on a gilt ground, fitted with sliding pan-cover with button-release and flash-guard, the dog decorated en suite with the breech, set trigger, figured hardwood full stock finely carved in low relief and enriched with polished ivory details, including a male and female portrait bust about the barrel tang, the fore-end decorated with leafy tendrils on long stalks and branches inhabited by hounds and a stag, the cheek-piece decorated with a hunter in contemporary dress taking aim at a boar, sliding patchbox-cover decorated en suite, iron mounts including trigger-guard chiselled with foliage on a gilt ground, engraved bone fore-end cap, and bone-tipped wooden ramrodA pair of pistols with related portrait bust plaquettes in ivory and also the same distinctive style of foliage are preserved in the Historieschen Museum, Dresden.
