Ferdinand Preiss (1882-1943) Art Deco bronze and ivory figurine 'The Stile' depicting a girl leaning on a gate post, raised on rectangular onyx plinth base, unsigned, height including base 25cm (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: 506: Generally good condition, however the ivory head and arms with light hairline cracks, minor chipping to onyx base, (see further images).
A smart gentleman's oak fitted stationery box, Circa 1910, the hinged cover with ivory instruments, revealing various letter compartments, six individual racks enclosing four leather tooled books, including 'Diary, Letter book, address book and cash account', above three short drawers, a pen tray and two inkwells, the double fall front forming a lap desk and applied with red tooled skiver, applied to the exterior with twin gilt metal swing handles, 30cm high, 46.5cm wide, 26.5cm deep (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: 7: Generally good condition, presentation label on front missing, minor rips to leather.

A Georgian or Queen Anne walking stick with pique inlaid ivory handle with silver collar, eyelet holes and inscribed with original owners name, Bullock, Pewsey in black ink, together with a horn handled walking stick both in modern Italian pottery umbrella stand. NB. The handle has some old splits and cracks commensurate with age and slight faults to collar.
INDIAN FIGURES. Three Indian ivory figures, two musicians & a four-armed goddess. Tallest 13cm. CONDITION REPORTS: 1. Musician with bare legs - this figure has some fine, natural cracking along the grain of the ivory, especially down the arms and legs. The pipe has broken off at the point furthest from the body, but there are no other losses or repairs. 2. Musician with cloak - this figure has lost the pipe instrument (the holes can be clearly seen). Otherwise, apart from some age cracks, this figure is in original condition. 3. Goddess figure - two of the 'petals' on the base have been chipped - the rest are intact. The hands and arms appear to be intact. The very top point of the finial on the headdress appears to be rubbed/worn. There are a few natural stress cracks, but generally the condition is good.
INDIAN FIGURE. An Indian ivory small figure of a gentleman. 8cm. CONDITION REPORTS: There is an age crack running down the back of the jacket. There is another small crack running down from the top of the umbrella. There are a couple of small stress cracks across the top of the head. There is one small hole in the left hand, otherwise in good, original condition.

There was something on the mans back..now missing Flute is missing to man Other netsukes are ok..carving is poor.
An English satinwood banjo by Richard Spencer, late 19th/early 20th century, with ivory pegs and mother of pearl inlay to the fret board, stamped to the neck, 93cm long, in a leather case, together with an Irish drum, decorated to the skin with a promotional logo for Murphy's Stout, (2) Note: Richard "Dick" Spencer is recorded as a teacher, player and composer for fretted instruments, establishing a workshop and studio at 84 High Street, Clapham, London, in 1880. He died in 1915.
