A rare 18th. century Oriental ivory figure of a tall Dutchman in full length coat, part unbuttoned revealing a long curved sword, in full bottomed wig and hat carrying an animal, probably a small deer, by its legs across his shoulders (animal body missing), ht. 10.5cm. , mounted as the handle of a hardwood walking stick with long spiral relief snake carving and metal band. Length 91cm.
An impressive late 19th. century Indian cabinet of drawers with carrying handles, the canted top on iron hinges over a set of twelve lidded compartments, the front of the chest dropping down to reveal seven drawers. The cabinet, including all drawers and lids is inlaid with wood and ivory plant forms, the lid with stylised trees in pots. 45x26x35cm. high.
An 18th Century Anglo-Indian rosewood two-door table cabinet, the surface profusely inlaid with bone leaf scrolls, the reverse of the doors inlaid with stylised trees, 57cm wide (interior drawers removed)/see illustration Condition Report: Exterior faded, the top missing several inlaid leaves and flower heads, the back very dry and missing some ivory stringing and veneer to the bottom left and top right corner. Front missing some stringing, right hand door detached and missing some ivory inlay and veneer, left hand door with similar blemishes, reverse of door panels in good condition.
