A beautiful and rare silver tea pot for export Luen Wo marked dating: circa 1900 provenance: China Of refined, trunk shape and decorated in-relief with blackthorn flowers; handle shaped as a branch and featuring ivory decorations; provided with Luen Wo mark. A 19th century ivory box, containing ivory letters Condition report Report by GHNone of the letters appear to be broken, however some have some small chips and losses. The box is also generally in good condition, however the panels are warping a little and the joints are slightly parting. No obvious repairs or restoration. There are 142 items in the lot. The box is 8 cm long x 4.5 cm wide x 4 cm high.
A 19th century fan, the painted paper decorated a tavern scene, signed E Piccandet, on mother of pearl struts, and four other fans (5) Condition report Report by GHThe fan with the tavern appears to have had some restoration to a tear on the right hand side and three other small tears elsewhere. The mother of pearl struts are generally in good condition with occasional slight losses to painted detail. The painting is generally in reasonable condition, with some dirt and extra folds. The black fan has a tear to the silk towards the middle, almost all the way up but is otherwise reasonable. The bone and silk fan decorated the cherub with flowers is grubby but generally good except a small tear on the left edge. The red strutted fan has three or four damages to the paper and is generally quite worn looking. The ivory strutted silk fan is in reasonable condition if a little dirty but with no obvious major damage, except a little frayed on the silk towards the bottom.
A Cantonese ivory card case, with carved decoration, 11.5 cm high, and a quantity of gaming counters Condition report Report by GHBoth ends of the lid broken off and missing. One end with old glue residue. Otherwise carving in generally good condition with no obvious major losses or restoration.
