A 19th Century Japanese Meiji Period articulated and carved ivory crayfish figure, 27 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Has damage to the tail. Two claws are off as is one pincer. The articulation is broken, appears to have had some repairs previously, old glue is visible. in need of a good clean. A George III harewood and kingwood cross-banded marquetry inlaid tea caddy of oval form, the hinged lidded top with birds on branches etched on to a satinwood oval disc, the body with marquetry inlay of birds upon a fruit laden tree with ivory pinched oval escutcheon, 14.25 cm x 12.75 cm CONDITION REPORTS Lid is slightly ill fitting, hinge is very "wobbly" and looks as if it may have had a repair to it at some point. The top of the box around the escutcheon looks to have been pressed inwards and the lock does not now work. There has also been a major repair around the lock and escutcheon. The veneer is starting to lift in various places. Various scratches, marks, scuffs, impressed marks etc throughout - general signs of wear and tear
A Victorian/Edwardian silver three piece tea set of oval bellied form with embossed decoration comprising teapot, twin-handled sucrier and milk jug (by Atkin Brothers, Sheffield, 1901), 17 cm high, approx 35 oz CONDITION REPORTS Handle is loose, ivory bands are cracked, lid is loose on the hinge and finial is again loose. All over various scratches, scuffs and marks. Spout is dented, sugar bowl has some blemishes to the sides, some light scratches and scuffs and is slightly wobbly on foot. Cream jug has various light scratches, scuffs, small dents to a couple of places to the body and is also slightly wobbly on foot. All items various general signs of wear and tear throughout.
A mid 19th Century Chinese carved ivory sewing casket profusely and finely carved with a procession of various figures in a town scene with trees, raised on carved paw feet, the top rising to reveal a carved sandalwood fitted lift-out tray with various accessories and lidded compartments, etc, 31 cm x 21 cm x 14 cm high, housed in a Victorian rosewood glazed display case CONDITION REPORTS Outer Casing: Glass and frame appear to have age and maybe original to the piece, if not soon after. The frame, particularly to the base, with some ink highlighting particularly visible to the top side of the base. The glass with slightly rippled look and some light bubbling. The case with some areas of damage along the grain to the edges where the glass meets the frame - this may be due to shrinkage. See images for further information.The Casket: Top has a split or join to the centre horizontally from one side to the other and appears to have a small, later or replacement, section to the right hand side of this split. Approx 5 cm x 0 .3 cm with signs of old glue marks and another small section to the roof of the central building, slightly smaller. To the right hand side along the split from the central building there appears to be an additional section approx 1 cm with a further section below this to the right - see images for further info. The corners of the edging have signs of slight shrinkage and the edging within the outer edge has some sections of infill which may or may not be original to the piece. From the front there is a slight variation in colour between the lid and the base. This may possibly be purely due to sun bleaching. Corners appear to have signs of shrinkage along the bamboo dovetail sections - see images for further info. Right side appears to be in similar condition to the front panel, the left side similar though with evidence of glue to one flower bottom left corner suggesting repair, though no sign of actual damage to the naked eye. Back panel appears to be in good condition though with very small crack to the bottom right hand edge. Bottom panel with large split centrally running horizontally across the piece though this is probably originally as two sections so not damage. Feet appear to be in good order though with signs of cracking conducive with age.The tray , of carved wood , is in basically good order , though with some signs of slight shrinkage in some areas (see images) The tray has several accessories ( see images) Beneath the tray the interior is of plain form with the two sections of the base clear with their central split, though with a further split horizontally to the centre approx 7.5 cm long. All metalwork including lock, handles and hinges appear to be original to the piece. With key, which appears to be original.

JOSEPH JULES EMMANUEL CORMIER (FRENCH 1869-1950) CALLED JOE DESCOMPS - a carved ivory figure of a standing nude, her hands holding up her hair behind her head, the circular base signed on a carved and turned onyx pedestal, 16 cm high overall (Cormier trained at The Falguière Studio, exhibited regularly at The Salon Des Artistes Francais between 1891 and 1937 and also worked with the famous Parisian Jewellers Boucheron) (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS There is a crack running across her head and running partly down her neck. There is another running down her side approximately from her shoulder to the back of her knee. There are several cracks to the base and one to her torco on the right hand side. there is a pinhead hole to the back left hand calf. Some discolouration with age, dirty and in need of a clean. Thee is a gap between her and the base - unknown if she has been off - and there is several chips to the base itself. There is also a large chip that has been repaired to the very bottom of the base. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include some light surface scratches. Knocks to the extremities including the elbows etc - see images for further details
A Regency mahogany and inlaid serpentine chest of drawers, the plain top with satinwood strung and cross-banded decoration above four graduated drawers with ivory escutcheons and turned knob handles, raised on splayed feet, 94 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Large split to the top running all the way along in the middle. Damage to the back right-hand corner and further splits throughout the top. Some small losses to the front edge including losses to the beadwork inlay to the front edge. Various deep scratches, pock marks, light scratches etc throughout. Front left-hand corner has some loss to the decorative beadwork. Looking down the front there is a chip to the escutcheon area on the top above the drawer and replaced section also where the lock goes into. Beadwork around all drawers has damage with losses and chips and splits etc throughout. Second drawer has damage to the escutcheon and damage to both handle/. Third drawer has various impressed marks etc. Last drawer looks like it has had a repair around the lock. To the apron - various splits and feet with various impressed marks, scuffs, chips, losses etc throughout. Down the right hand - very faded splits, dark marks, impressed marks. Front right and back right foot with splits. The left hand side again has splits, marks and scratches etc and the feet are in similar condition. Back board - some planks are loose. all over signs of general wear and tear throughout

Around the bottom corner the join appears to be coming apart slightly. The top section appears to be a slight angle. All over general wear and tear.
A 19th Century mahogany banjo barometer and thermometer with conch shell marquetry inlay, the brushed steel dial marked "P. Caminada", 96 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Unknown if working. The hands seem very loose and there is discolouration throughout. Some of the wood is lifting slightly. Various knocks, chips etc throughout and looks as though the pediment has been off as has the ivory finial. Several large scratches all over especially to the bottom section of the barometer. The cover to the back sticks and needs re-hanging. The silver dial has various scratches particularly around the '29' and the screws. There is some chipping to the glass. All items bear various small scratches, marks, scuffs, etc. Various general signs of wear and tear, chips, etc conducive with age and use.
A Japanese Meiji Period carved ivory articulated dragon, the legs with stylised flames, the head with inlaid eyes, movable jaw and tongue, 85 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Most pieces present but a few have detached including legs and feet. Some small spine spikes are missing. Articulation works but is very stiff and some sections which do not bend fully might need attention. Various general signs of wear and tear, light scratching and scuffs throughout. In need of restoration.
A late 19th Century Meiji Period Japanese carved ivory-handled ebony walking cane, the handle decorated with multiple grimacing and smiling faces or "Noh" masks, signed, 90 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Cane itself in reasonable condition though with areas of wear and discolouration and scratching - see images. conical tip very dented conducive with age and use. Handle with various cracks along the grain, particularly horizontally above the signature, and several cracks verso above the carved symbol. Further cracks further along the handle towards the end, various areas of discolouration particularly to the ends. Ferule with wear, discolouration and denting conducive with age and is also loose fitting.
A George III mahogany and marquetry inlaid dome top three section tea caddy, the dome top cross banded in ebony and box wood strung with central marquetry inlaid conch shell, the front marquetry inlaid with two conch shells set within a green stained oval, the top opening to reveal marquetry, cross-banding inlay to the lid interior and three mahogany and cross-banded lids with turned ivory handles, the whole raised on moulded brass paw feet, 24.75 cm x 17.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has several knocks and bumps and blemishes to the exterior, some crazing to the varnish and paintwork. Hinges look to be replacements, foil is missing to some of the interior and loose in other sections. The internal lids are a little bit sticky. The whole box has a look of restoration about it, although sympathetically done. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Feet appear to be slightly uneven and there is a slight rocking - see images for further details. No key is present.
A set of 19th Century Chinese carved ivory gaming pieces, each decorated with figures by trees, 15 white and 15 red-stained with a spare similar red-stained piece, together with two matching shakers, one white and one red CONDITION REPORTS Diameter of the pots at the largest point approx 37 mm x 7 cm long. Diameter of counters approx 29 mm. All pieces with various scratches, scuffs, marks, etc conducive with age, use and wear. There are 16 red counters and 15 white counters. All items with various general signs of wear and tear.
