^ Military Style Indian Kukri, polished blade and horn grip with ivory cap and brass pommel, in its leather covered sheath; another with carved wooden hilt and sheath, bound with aluminium straps; and another military kukri with wooden grips, no sheath, and a large ‘chip’ from the cutting edge; all 20th century. ^ Indian Dagger Kukri c.1900, swollen single edge blade with some gold damascene at forte, one-piece ivory hilt, in its green fabric covered sheath with silver damascened iron mounts, containing twin ivory handled companion knives. Overall 44.5 cms, blade 33cms. Good condition, blade with medium rusted patch at forte.
^ North Indian Sword Shamshir Built for an Officer, Second Half of the 19th Century, curved single edge blade chiselled with rhyming couplets and with gold paint, regulation mameluke hilt with chiselled brass cross-piece and two piece ivory grips, in its iron scabbard now covered with snake skin, the mounts covered with gold paint. Blade 73 ½ cms. Good condition, some age wear.
^ Irish Presentation Infantry Officers Sword Spadroon of the 3rd Royal Dublin Volunteers, 1797, straight diamond-section blade, iron hilt, sideguard pierced and engraved with crowned Irish harp supported by a pair of cannon on carriages, side loop and quillon terminal both with decorative applied studs, facetted pommel, chequered ivory grip with large silver ‘cigar band’ engraved in script ‘Presented to Captn. H.A.Woodward by the Genn. of his Compy as a Small Token of their respect and Esteem for him’ and on the reverse ‘3rd Regt of Royal Dubn Volu. or Barrack Devis,n and 4th Comp.y Dec,r 7th 97’. Overall 97cms, blade 81cms. Generally good untouched condition, blade and hilt lightly pitted and age worn with a few small pieces missing from edges of blade.
^ Late Victorian 1831 Pattern General Officers Mameluke Sword, polished regulation blade etched with crowned VR, royal arms, foliage and crossed sword and scabbard, regulation hilt with gilt brass mounts and two piece ivory grips, in its brass scabbard with two suspension rings. Overall 100cms, blade 86cms. Good condition, some small patches of corrosion to scabbard.
