Please note: The arms are not that James Holland, as previously catalogued.λAn early Victorian silver paint box, by Rawlings and Summers, London 1841, rectangular form, the interior with thirteen compartments for paint and a compartment for brushes, the hinged cover with a foliate scroll thumb-piece and engraved with an armorial and initials, the underside with a hinged finger ring, and with a detachable ivory palette, length 11.5cm, approx. weight 5.8oz. Provenance: Private Collection. Purchased from Heirloom and Howard Limited, Berkeley Square, London. The arms are those of Holland.
