A Japanese carved ivory okimono representing an archer kneeling on a taxidermy rug, bears seal mark to the underside, length 12cm, together with a Chinese Canton ivory lidded box (2).Additional InformationThe circular box with a hairline crack to the edge of the lid. A few small nicks to the details of the carving on the lid. The circular panel on the underside of the base section of this box is loose and does detach. The carved figure of the archer has one bracket foot which is detached, this is present in the circular ivory box. The other bracket feet appear to have been glued back into position. The stand holding the three arrows has been glued back to the two feet, however this now detached again and simply slotted into position. Some rubbing, general yellowing and dirty here and there in parts. Two slight hairline cracks to one of the short ends.
