A rare and unusual early 19th Century Chinese hardwood ten fold Table Screen, with carved and stained ivory panels depicting typical Chinese celebratory scenes, with music, dance, dragons, and scribes, the reverse with eight smaller carved and coloured scenes depicting interiors of family life, all mounted in centre, approx. 155cms (61") long opened; 22cms (8 3/4") high (each panel). A 19th Century Indo Colonial hardwood and ivory inlaid rectangular kneehole desk:, bordered with ivory lines, the rectangular top with a band of ivory, strung with ebony, having a reeded edge with rounded corners, containing a central drawer in the shape ogee pointed apron flanked by four short drawers to either side with recessed brass handles, between reeded mouldings, the sides with brass carrying handles on lions claw feet, 114.5cm (3ft 9in) wide.
A Chinese hardwood and marquetry two tier jardiniere stand:, bordered with lines and heightened in ivory, the top with a roundel decorated with dragons within floral foliate spandrels and stylised scroll border with inscriptions, the frieze with floral foliate, batswing and cloud band designs, on square section legs, united by an undertier with roundel depicting a spray of floral foliage and bird and insects, the top 43.5cm (1ft 5in) square, 71.5cm (2ft 4 1/4in) high.

An impressive Art Deco walnut and coromandel veneered dining room suite:, comprising a dining table of rectangular shape with polygonal ends and plate glass top on twin octagonal pedestal bases with maple veneered canted angles, the top 244cm (8ft) long x 110cm (3ft 7 1/4in) x 77cm (2ft 6 1/4in) high, a sideboard of bowed breakfront outline, fitted with two drawers enclosed by a pair of doors flanked by an enclosed pedestal cupboard to either side, 194cm (6ft 4 1/4in) long, a bow fronted serving table fitted with two deep drawers on canted trestle end supports, 140cm (4ft 7in) wide and a set of eight dining chairs with tulip shaped backs and ivory leather bowed seats on polygonal tapered legs, including a pair of elbow chairs with outswept arm supports. * Labelled Frank Tyler & Co, House Furnishers 107 to 111 Newington Butts, London, SE11. * Provenance: Rainbow, Avenue Road, Torquay - Lot 758 - 27th February 2002.
Circle of George Chinnery [1774-1852]- Miniature portrait of a young officer, said to be Francis Rawden-Hastings, Earl of Moira, Governor General of India 1813-1822:- head and shoulders oval, 6.5cm, on ivory. * Notes. The sitter, who was born in Ireland, was a close friend to the Prince of Wales. The attribution of the sitter is from descendents of the present owner and while no images of the young Earl are readily available, the likeness compares well to images of an older Earl.
A late Regency period Chinese ivory brise fan: with central shield cartouche with initials, roundels and garlands to a trellis ground, the guards carved with flowers, bats and birds, 18cm. long, contained in a fitted box with sliding top inset with silver cartouche engraved with the matching initials as the fan.
